Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer classes?

Yes, we do! Check out our Classes page for more information or visit our Shop page to purchase a gift certificate to use towards a class.

Do you allow visitors to watch glass blowing?

Visitors are most definitely welcome! We do orders and gallery pieces on Tuesdays. This is the day to come in and watch our masters at work. If we're giving a class, please ask the participants if you can watch. Most are first timers and we want them to be as comfortable as possible without the stress of an audience. If we're giving a class to a minor, we ask that you have a look around our gallery instead of watching them.

How old do you have to be to take a class?

We have welcomed students ranging from three to ninety-seven years old. If you fit anywhere in that range, you are welcome to take a class!

What do I need to bring to a class?

We request closed toe shoes for safety reasons and recommend long pants. You can bring your own sunglasses, or we have some you can use. Other than that, a willingness to learn (and also potentially get a little hot).

Can I bring in a group or tour? Do you offer demonstrations?

Absolutely! We do encourage you to reach out to us via email to organize a date and time for your visit to make sure we're available and not giving classes.

If you would like to set up a demonstration, email us to set up a date and time. We ask that the piece that gets made during the demo is purchased to cover our costs and time. You can choose which piece you would like to be made.

How hot is the furnace?

The main furnace is over 2100 degrees Fahrenheit, which is actually hotter than the inside of some volcanoes!

Do you have a gallery?

Yes, we have a gallery attached to our hot shop that features our latest pieces available for sale.
